Sunny Stevens has been teaching and operating Stevehaven for 37 years. She has taught riders who have competed successfully from the short stirrup level through the grand prix jumping level. She has had numerous riders qualify and successfully compete at Harrisburg, Washington, and New York, the major fall indoor horse shows. These riders have shown in equitation, hunter, and jumper divisions. Sunny's greatest pleasure in teaching is seeing a student develop his or her ability to accomplish a task with a horse, whether it is in the show ring or just doing an exercise well in a lesson at home. This development gives each student great enjoyment in riding, which is the primary reason for riding, thus producing success in the show arena.
